The value for my money at this hostel was exceptional. The room was comfortable with privacy curtains and lockers, and the location was perfect, right in the heart of Chinatown. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and were extremely helpful throughout my stay.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was more variety in the food options.

Staff amazing, helpful, friendly. Large beds, curtains for privacy. Locker and plug sockets in each bunk. Free coffee and tea. Great location near China Town. Clean showers, decent towels and sheets. Comfortable beds, good pillows. Filling breakfast. Quirky extras like white face paint and cigarettes.
All good.

The staff at the reception were really nice and helpful. The double room was big, clean, and had a comfy bed. The restaurant served good food at a reasonable price. The hostel's location was great, with plenty of food options nearby and easy access to tourist attractions.
The optional tours and activities offered by the hostel were quite expensive compared to other places. It would be better to find a cheaper travel agency for activities.

The hostel had a great location near main facilities and excellent restaurants. the staff were very helpful and kind. the washrooms were clean and spacious. the included breakfast was very good.
Late night upper floor loud noises were bothersome, especially since my bunk was near the window facing the main road below. the WiFi was inconsistent and the coffee was a little disappointing.

Baobabed Hostel in Yangon was a true home away from home. The central location made it easy to explore the city, with all major attractions within walking distance. The hostel was very clean and cozy, with comfortable beds and plenty of showers and toilets. The breakfast and local snack in the evening were delicious, although I have to admit the cheap white bread and artificial margarine could be improved. The manager and staff were caring, helpful, and interested in making my stay enjoyable. The WiFi worked well throughout the hostel, and there were various chill out areas to meet other travelers. The beautifully restored colonial building added a welcoming touch. I highly recommend this hostel for its wonderful atmosphere and excellent value for money.
